BSc Geology and Digital Surveying
The Career related First Degree Programme in Geology and Digital Surveying is a two main programme with Geology as Core – 1 or Main – 1 and Digital Surveying as Vocational Core or Core – 2 or Main – 2 subjects. The programme is designed to develop a modern scientific attitude and an interest towards the areas of Geological / Earth Science studies and Digital Surveying. The courses are designed to impart the essential basics in Geology, Digital Surveying and Geography. A student completing the course will be eligible to apply to higher studies in PG in the respective areas of Geological Sciences and Geography. The student will also be getting good training in the aspects of Digital Surveying so that he can get job in the field of Digital Surveying in private sector or government sector.
A geology student can have opportunities in major geoscientific organizations like GSI, CGWB, NHPC, ONGC, State Mining and Geology Departments etc. Private companies also may recruit students through on and off campus placements.
